The supplier who stays on the next platform looks at three things:
Whether your parts are specified on Renault’s next platform generation. If they are not, the next three launches under this platform likely follow the same list, without you.
Whether your current tooling still matches where this OEM’s volume is going. Tooling built for the outgoing ICE line probably needs rework before it runs RG EV parts.
Whether you know who calls the next platform if Renault does not. Platform sourcing gets decided once, and by the time you notice, the RFQ window is closed.
